Innovative new Study-in-India program developed for Ontario students

The Ontario-Maharashtra-Goa Student Exchange Program is a new initiative developed by a consortium of 17 Ontario universities and 10 universities in Maharashtra and Goa. Opportunities for exchange are now available for students throughout Ontario and scholarships are also available.

Shastri Institute Grant Recipient Published in Economic and Political Weekly

Papia Sengupta, lecturer at the University of Delhi and recent Shastri Institute Canadian Studies Fellow has been published in the August 16 edition of Economic and Political Weekly. Her article Linguistic Diversity and Disparate Regional Growth is a result of many years of research including the work she accomplished in Canada.

New Chancellor for Kwantlen Polytechnic University


The Board of Governors at Kwantlen Polytechnic University is pleased to announce the appointment of Arvinder Singh Bubber as the university’s first chancellor. Bubber will be officially installed in his new role as chancellor at Kwantlen’s Fall Convocation in October 2008, and will serve a three-year term through 2011.
