The Executive Board of UNESCO has approved India’s proposal to set up a Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace & Sustainable Development as a UNESCO Category I Institute. At present, there are eleven UNESCO Category-I institutes and all but three of them are located in developed countries. None are located in Asia.
The 25@25 contest asks young Canadians (18-35) to share their vision for Canada’s Future with Asia. With a $5,000 grand prize, 25@25 sets out to identify the 25 most important issues for Canada-Asia relations. See: http://www.25at25.ca
