One day Workshop on “Current/Future Role of Food Science and Technology to Deliver Felt-needs of Consumers in India‟ was held on 22nd December 2016 at IIT Bombay. The workshop was jointly organised by IIT Bombay (IITB) and Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute (SICI), New Delhi, in the framework of MHRD-GIAN programme.
The theme talk in the workshop was given by Prof. H. Ramaswamy from McGill University, Canada. Sixty two participants, including students, researchers and faculty members from IIT Bombay, members from AFST (I), Mumbai Chapter (The Association of Food Scientists and Technologists (India) and budding food entrepreneurs (See list in Annexure 1). A few glimpses of the day long workshop is given at the end of the report.
