The lecture entitled “Indian Foreign Policy: An outsider perspective (with reference to Canada)” was this year’s Shastri Lester Pearson Memorial Lecture and it took place at the S.P. Jain Centre at University of Delhi last Thursday, January 19th. Dr. David Malone is the President of the International Development Research Center since July, 2008.

The Banaras Hindu University in Varanasi is organizing a two day seminar on “Understanding Minorities in India and Canada”. This event is made possible by the Shastri Canadian Studies Programme Development Grant funded by the Canadian International Development Agency. The proposed seminar will address issues related to minorities in India and Canada by inviting scholars from the field of humanities, law, medicine and social sciences.
