The Shastri Indo Canadian Institute is pleased to announce a new institutional grant program for its Canadian and Indian Member Institutions, the Institutional Research Collaboration Development Grant (IRCDG).

Themes of particular interests to the Institute are food security, child and youth education and employment, environment and energy, gender and health, and good governance. The program, made possible by the funding that the Institute receives from the Canadian International development Agency (CIDA), is to encourage new institutional investments in these areas of research. Small matching grants of up to CAD $10,000 are available to selected member institutions with commitment of equivalent amount of funds to initiate and develop research projects or programs that address CIDA’s development priorities, are based on bi-national collaboration, and will lead to future research in these broad areas.
