Commemorating 40 years of building academic and cultural linkages
The Shastri Institute will contribute funding to one of our Canadian member institutions to host a distinguished speaker for a one-time event. The lecture should examine a current topic relevant to the Indo-Canadian relationship.
$1,700
Any Canadian member institutions of the Shastri Institute
Evaluation will be based upon the following marking system:
All applicants should approach their desired speaker prior to applying and be confident that the speaker is willing to participate. Once the funds have been awarded, the recipient will have two months to officially confirm their speaker and the date of the event. The event must be held within 12 months of the funding announcement. Failure to confirm either the speaker or the date within two months may result in a reversal of the award.
The total funds will be disbursed once the speaker and date have been officially confirmed for the event.
Friday October 15, 2010.
Applications must arrive at the Institute’s Canadian office by 4:30 p.m. Calgary time. Late and incomplete applications will not be considered. Applicants will be notified of the results by November 2010.
